ABOUT ME...
Hi my name is Rob. I've been in the creative industry for over 20 years and during that time I have worked in almost every sector. From fashion to film and graphic design to animation. For brands such Mulberry, Christian Le Bouton, Selfridges, Universal, Warner Brothers, Samsung, Renault, Nissan and Red Bull.
What got me into the creative industry was a one week black and white film photography workshop I did in my last year of school during the Easter holidays of 1999 at what was then called The Arts Institute Bournemouth. At the time I didn't think of photography as a career (even though I did take photos that got published in The Washington Post, Harper's Bazaar and Stylist Magazine, I didn't actually consider myself a proper photographer), I actually went into the industry as a graphic designer and then eventually ended up becoming a director of music videos like this one which has had 31 million plays.
Now in the present day I have finally come back to my first love; photography. While I am still a film maker and story teller. There is something about the still image that holds a special place in my heart. I find that (great) photography can offer a brief respite from todays fast paced, short attention span society. I personally aim to create "scroll stopping" images. Photographs that hold up against the hands of time.
I'm based in the UK between Essex, London and Bournemouth.
